ODYSSEY OF THE SEAS, A ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE SHIP

A ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE

I had a really enjoyable time on Royal Caribbean’s Odyssey of the Seas. It’s a beautiful, fairly new ship, and has a passenger capacity of maximum 5510 passengers. Everything feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully put together without being over the top. I especially liked how open and easy it was to find my way around the ship, it never felt crowded, even with so many people on board.

The crew were consistently great—friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of what they do. It made a big difference in how smooth and relaxed the whole trip felt. You can tell they work hard to keep things running well behind the scenes.

There was always something to do, from shows and live music, to quieter lounges and outdoor activities. Some of the entertainment really impressed me, while other things were more typical of big ships, but overall it was a nice mix that kept the cruise interesting.

The dining experience stood out, too. There were lots of options, and the food was generally excellent. I liked being able to switch between casual meals and sit-down dinners without worrying about food quality—it was consistently good across the ship.

My balcony cabin was comfortable and well set up. Having that private space to sit outside and watch the ocean was one of my favourite parts of the trip. It’s amazing how quiet and peaceful it can be, even on such a large ship.

A real highlight for me was the behind-the-scenes tour. Getting to see areas like the galley, crew spaces, and technical rooms gave a whole new appreciation for what it takes to run a ship of this size. It was genuinely fascinating and something I’d recommend to anyone curious about how things work below deck.

The ship’s organization was excellent overall. Everything from dining reservations to excursions ran smoothly, and it felt like there was always someone around to help if needed.

All in all, I really enjoyed this cruise and would confidently recommend Royal Caribbean to travellers seeking a relaxed yet refined holiday experience on the water.
