Club Lounge:
KL by night:
The Mandarin Oriental offers 571 rooms including suites and executive apartments. It is set between the Petronas Twin Towers and KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Center) Park perfectly located for the city’s main business addresses. (ca. 1 hour away from the airport by car)
There are numerous dining outlets, from classic Cantonese to an all-day buffet at Mosaic restaurant, poolside snacks to the Mandarin Grill or contemporary Japanese at Wasabi Bistro.
I stayed in Club Floor with access to the oversized club lounge which offers all day drinks and generous food served from morning to night. All the food that I had was fresh and tasty and delicious.
The rooms are a bit on the older side, being the Mandarin Oriental one of the first luxury hotels to open in KL years ago. The lobby, swimming pool, SPA and other outlets have already been renovated while the room renovation will follow. (I must say though, the rooms are still in a very good shape; age does not show too much) The hospitality of the staff made up for this and I had a fine stay there.
